Giacomo Moor (Milan, 1981) began working in carpentry early on. He studied at the Polytechnic University in Milan, where he combined rigorous planning with a passion for woodworking. In 2011, after completing a dissertation on wood, he opened his studio with partner Aurelie Callegari. Moor designs experimental collections, custom furnishings, and unique pieces, blending precise design with traditional craftsmanship. His awards include Best Young Designer at EDIDA 2016 and the Wallpaper* Award in 2017. Moor’s collections, like “Centina” and “Funamolo,” explore the intersection of architecture, design, and traditional craftsmanship, with wood as the main material.
